USF couldn’t have afforded CCS without his paycheck from UT,  and won’t be able to retain him wihen that ends.

Where is USF going to get the money needed to hire an AD away from a major program?

Unlike Rob Harris,  Associate/Asst. ADs from major programs aren’t newbies.

Perhaps the whales who were ignored and not appreciated by Marcus will step up...

Must have been ignored by Woolard, Lee Roy and Griffin, too. People act like donating all of a sudden dropped off with MH. Unless I'm mistaken, just the opposite is true. Some of that may have to do with the change in football/basketball season ticket structure but again, I'm not sure. I'm assuming the donation figures are somewhere easily attained?

Yes, I would certainly like to see them over the past 10 years.

When you hire big jobs, the candidates come from a few places. I see success and non-success in each of the categories below. There is no one correct method.

Top dog at smaller school:

Doug Woolard

Skip Holtz

Willie Taggart

Robert McCullom

Seth Greenberg

Promote from within:

Lee Roy Selmon

Murry Bartow

Jose Fernandez

Assistant at bigger school:

Mark Harlan

Jim Leavitt

Orlando Antigua

Let go from big time job:

Charlie Strong

Brian Gregory

Stan Heath

just hire Jurich already.

The only line that matters is;

He was successful at getting L'ville into a P-5 Conference.

That is all,

Ty

Jurich will be a steeply discounted price due to his name being connected to the mess at UL and Adidas (regardless of actual proven involvement).   Coaches, AD's, and athletes  at the next level often take big pay cuts while they rehab their image after scandals for a couple years at a lower profile gigs.   If Jurich ends up anywhere it will be for substantially less than what he made at UL.  Where he ends up will basically be a "car wash" for him, aka keeping his nose clean for a few years to get the stench of the scandal off of him before he moves on to a bigger job and a salary more like what he had at UL.   That's if he decides to work as a AD at all.

USF interested in former Arkansas AD Jeff Long

Put me on team Jurich, but I could live with Long too.

The 4th comment is actually in this link, not that one.

Which I think is a bad idea. Never put a deadline on a negotiation unless you're in complete domination and are trying to force submission/ capitulation. That's not us. Wish it was, though...
