Perhaps Brooks is bowing out because he knows a decision is forthcoming...

Thinking the same thing. If he was not interested you would think he would have said so day one.

I’d give puc’s right *** to be on probation in the SEC.

There is nothing that wouldn’t be worth being in SEC it would be a complete game changer, if I had to sacrifice for it I would do it with a smile on my face.

Hell yeah!  From battling for 3rd place in the AAC to dead last in the SEC baby.  Does that mean we can chant SEC! SEC! during bowl season?

We would have 10x the money coming in, 10x the quality recruits, an upgrade in prestige that can’t be measured in multiples since 10x zero is still zero, fans in the stands week in and week out and Vanderbilt is still in the SEC. We would be just fine and the cashing of the checks would cure any ill feelings about a “down year”. In short any year in the SEC, ACC, Big10, Big12 and PAC10 is better than winning every sport in whatever it is we call this left over Big East now.

I guess it depends on the definition of "just fine".  How many zeroes have to be on the end of that check for you to be ok with a couple of sec wins a year and hitting .500 on a good year?

I don't see the sec in our future anyway.  Big 12 or ACC maybe

I don’t see the SEC in our future either but the difference between the have nots and the haves is growing at an obscene rate every year and running around calling ourselves P6 isn’t going to keep the lights on if we are getting paid G5 money. If anyone comes calling we should take it because one zero means a world of difference when it comes to your pay days. I also think we will be more competitive than you give us credit for but there is only one way to find out, hire Jurich ;)

Because $500k is about $500k more than he's currently making.

There isn’t any amount of money 💰 that would get me out of retirement.  TJ doesn’t need to work.
