Definitely. He locked up the UF games and saved the department $50k. Solid work for a guy with one foot out the door.

I read tha it was Dan Mullen.

Someone on twitter mentioned Yulander Wells as a possible candidate

I'd be good with him as well.  Another great guy at USF.  As I've said in the past, there are a ton of great people working at USF.  I'd be happy for any one of them.

Let's just say he had a way of making donors feel unappreciated.  Like ignoring us for an entire year at the Hardwood Club before every MBB & WBB game.  My wife was at the point of not wanting to go because of him.  I was told by a former Bulls Club person with fairly long ties to USF that we'd never build an OCS with him here.  Managed to tick off a lot of big donors. No "thank yous" for what you've done.  But "what else can you do?"

I will say he did teach me the rules of college tennis when I met him at a match a couple of years ago. If you could get him in a one on one, which only happened twice for me, he was decent enough. But he avoided small donors like the plague and as Iron Bull we were considered small donors. His philosophy is to go after the whales.  The crap in the Utah press release about the increase of 300% was an accounting change. Don't think true $$$ increased much, if at all.  The Naimoli $1 million donation was fostered by Andrew Goodrich.  There were other things that I won't put on here because I wouldn't want it to get back to my contacts but some things would make you shake your head.

This and basically destroying a legacy we were trying to build over time.

CWT is interested in the position but said he needs to get this one and done over at FSU first. So is Judy is willing to wait he’ll be available next spring to take the role.

So, from all of the potentials that have been listed in this thread which one gives us the best chance at getting into a P5 conference should the opportunity arise? Do we really want someone with no AD experience to lead us to the promise land or would a local show the enthusiasm to make it happen?

I jest about CWT, but I think Higgins would be the guy. He has proven that he can build a network and make things happen. If he can call in a few shots from the events he’s pulled off I think we’d be good.

I ask think he he would bring some much need energy to the department.

Somewhere, Danny White is asking himself, why not me?

Hate UCF, but the guy has done a lot in a short period of time.  The NC thing is and was dumb.  However, he has to be questioning why he's not gotten a sniff from a P5.
