All this pissing and moaning and it's our best conference record and highest finish since joining the AAC ..... 🙄

We're a program that should be in a regional nearly every year. I'm not that concerned with the AAC. Conference accolades are fine, but it's all about what you're doing to win a regional and super regional, and we're not doing it with this pitching staff. After 14 or however many trips, it's time for us to win a regional. It has to be about more than just getting there at this point.

Exactly, we don’t have much of anything to show aside from making it to a regional. The last time we were a 1 seed in the conference tournament was in our C USA days.

But last year’s team was better IMO.

I agree. We lost some key components of the pitching staff and Merrill was a big loss offensively/defensively.  Yet we overcame some of these losses to record a slightly better record and higher seed.  Winning a conference tourney takes skill, but it also takes some luck.  Hopefully we'll have both this week

We didn't do it last year or any other year so I'm not sure why we criticize this staff per say.   We compete for recruits with big boys UF, FSU, and Miami in state as well as the out of staters.  We also have great programs like ucf, Stetson, JU, etc to compete with.   Perhaps we'll put it all together and win a region one year like a Coastal Carolina did.  Get on a roll like the Cal St. Fullertons or Wichita States have in the past.  We made big strides as a program under Kingston, but we can't/won't pay guys so we're a stepping stone for him to get to the SEC.  Hopefully Mohl can continue the trend with the program and stick around longer.

Aagghh, our history of ineptness has led to the greatness of all those little schools.

Those are great baseball programs.  There's no shame in them being in the discussion when it comes to recruiting.Reality is in Florida, you are competing with a lot of really good programs. We can throw U of Tampa in there who is a great D2 program.

Little schools can compete in baseball and many of them have very good baseball facilities.

If Coastal Carolina can win the college WS, we should at least be able to get to a super regional once in a while.
