BULLS, EAGLES MIDWEEK GAME CANCELED

TAMPA, MAY 14, 2018 – The previously scheduled midweek game between the University of South Florida baseball team and Florida Gulf Coast has been canceled due to expected rain and field conditions.

The game was slated for Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Fort Myers, but heavy rains in the forecast for much of the week forced both schools to agree upon the contest not being played.
With both the American Athletic Conference and ASUN Tournaments beginning next week, the game will not be made up.

The No. 24 Bulls conclude the regular season at Cincinnati for a three game series beginning Thursday. USF (30-17-1, 12-8-1 The American) is in third place in The American, just a game behind ECU (13-8 The American). Houston clinched at least a share of the regular season title, sitting at 16-8 in conference.

The Bulls can end up with anywhere from the No. 2 to the No. 6 seed at next week's American Championships. USF will finish no worse than third with two wins this weekend, and can secure the second seed with a series win and a UConn series win against ECU.
