Other than hiring two good FB coaches, what has Harlan actually done? Very, very little....

Thought I had read or hear that it was FCWT who initially put in a call to current FCCS.

You can tell everyone on this board has become numb to MBB when a player transferring out is treated as the norm. This program is still a dumpster fire and don't see the last 12 months as a net positive. We committed 6 years to an average HC. Players continue to transfer out and the "huge" turnaround in conference was driven primarly by players no longer with the team. Collins showed growth over the back half of the year, but let's not let's not over-value that because it's the only bright spot.

Harlan's gotten off relatively free for how he has managed the program. When he bolts for a P5 program and a fan base who doesn't have such a low bar, he's not going to have the runway he has here. P5 schools expect results quick.

I don't think the transfers are a surprise or a big deal.  The real problem were the years, YEARS, lost to Antigua.  Perhaps worst, ABSOLUTE WORST, hire ever.  I'm glad it's over and I am glad we have moved on.  Last season we had little choice but to use grad transfers.  You're smart enough to know that was not a rebuilding move as much as a survival move.  We need to watch the continued building.  Holston should have been gone a long time ago.  Martin is not a legit D1 player.  Needs to hit the buffet more often wherever he lands.  Gregory needs to bring in more talent, this helps.

xCOA was a bad hire looking with 20/20 hindsight

Dear friend, it was a horrible hire from the outset.  No doubt a failure in the making day one.

Supposed great recruiting assistant coach from one of the premiere college basketball programs in the country, with even some successful head coaching experience. The hire on paper made some sense ...

Don't forget the razzle-dazzle of a Globetrotter background, as well as both a big city and Spanish language background.

On paper, this was the best hire since Pete Rose.

Sigh...
