Here's the table of contents to that thread:

Pages 1-8: Cupcake City

Pages 9-22: OMG, what are we watching? Our eyes are bleeding.

Pages 22-23: Well USF still sucks and we're a better second half team

Pages 24-40: OMG, we're losing to freaking USF. We suck, everyone sucks, fire Tubby!

1 to 8 were good as they split hairs about cupcake vs. gimme and castigated those who said no game is either with the current Memphis team.

I am very tempted to go on their board right now and tell them "look, USF's fan base is making fun of you! Go challenge them and defend your powerful Tigers team!" (and increase traffic on TBP. and have some Friday fun).

nothing against ucf... but a win over Memphis in basketball is much bigger.  ucf sucked his first year, they fired the coach  and hired J. Dawkins.  So no... not the same. I actually don't remember anyone dumping praise on coa after the ucf game.  this is literally the first I've read of it.
