Men’s Soccer Recognized In College Soccer News Preseason Top 30 Poll  

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Thursday, August 4) – The University of South Florida men’s soccer team has been listed among the top teams in the nation, receiving votes in the 2005 College Soccer News Top 30 Preseason Poll. The Bulls finished 2004 with a 10-5-2 record, including wins over No. 5 SMU (3-0 on Sept. 17) and No. 24 Memphis (2-0 on Oct. 9) while ranking as high as No. 9 by CSN last season.

USF will kick off its 2005 campaign on Sept. 2 with a home contest versus in-state rival FIU. Game time is 7:30 p.m. The Bulls will face five teams listed in the Top 30 this season, including No. 5 St. John’s (Oct. 15), No. 6 New Mexico (Sept. 9), No. 10 SMU (Sept. 11) and No. 23 Seton Hall (Sept. 16).
