TE is tough. You don't get many touches, and when you do you have to shine. When he was on stage for us, he was intermittent so you can't really blame the coaches (CWT didn't use him all that much either) for not using him more. Maybe the change of scenery is what he needs, but I wish him all the luck & success he can get. He helped more than he hurt IMO...always a Bull

Anyone who tries to defend the new coaches for the lack of involvement of the TEs (and RBs) in the passing game is just lying. The Gilbert system may be just as productive as the gulf coast, but there it's no doubt that certain positions that were not utilized as much this year were frustrated.

So you’re saying Dillon wasn’t utilized as much this year as last and that’s why he’s transferring?

But over the last three years there were many drops and Q overthrew them at times.

He was basically behind Wilcox and there weren't a ton of touches for TEs last season. Throw in that the coaches will want to get the young guys involved this season so they are ready to go for 2019 and this makes sense. There's just not a ton of touches to go around and he didn't take advantage of his opportunities and fell behind Wilcox. It's awesome that he's getting his degree and I wish the kid the best of luck. Maybe a change in scenery and system will help him reach the ton of potential he has.
