Per Wiki, that got voted down but the governor got involved and personally requested the game to UF Prez, who finally agreed. Regardless of how it happened, UF wasn't the one who initiated playing FSU or looking for a rival. They already had one going strong with UGA ...

I take exception to that ..... another rebuttal is how your university thinks winning a faux championship is worth more than the life of one of its' players.
