Need to do better week in and week out.  Homecoming was great, but we need to make that kind of effort for each game.  Next year we'll see a bump due to Georgia Tech and UCF, but the other games need more people in the stands.

Much depends on how many games we have on Thursday, Friday and early Saturday, which really hurts tailgating.

We all should know by now that the announced attendance for all schools is greatly inflated, not just our own.

Considering that UCF has an OCS, they went undefeated and had a much better home schedule with USF and the CCG against Memphis, there announced attendance is not that much greater than our own.

There is only so much than an OCS can do In this conference, unless you get some ranked P5 opponents and more Saturday late afternoon games. Otherwise, it would only just look better on TV, with fewer empty seats.

I would count on two Thursday/Friday games (one for each would be ok).

We should only have one home and one away weekday game every year.  AAC should make this a rule.

Aresco discusses this in depth in his recent interview which is posted in the Birmingham bowl game thread and in at least one other thread. Right now, he seems to think that the national exposure is very important to the conference. He also realizes that those games have an adverse impact on attendance.

You can listen to it here.

Once we leave ESPN it will no longer be much of an issue.

If the comish follows the money it could happen. But you are right giving up exposure for cash is risky.

Looks like all our close Big East buddies who got left behind are plateaued where we are. I expect all of those fan bases are hurt from the loss of the big name opponents.
