That explains a lot.  I did not know about the Penn State stuff.

McQueary said he’d heard from another Penn State assistant, Tom Bradley, that Schiano “had come to him in the early ’90s about a very similar situation to mine.” According to Bradley (via McQueary), Schiano “had come into his office white as a ghost and said he just saw Jerry doing something to a boy in the shower.”

And that's the thing.  If he didn't know he got screwed out of a head coaching job.  If he DID know he shouldn't be coaching anywhere.

Most believe he did not know (and he was cleared of that and the Bucs did an extensive investigation before they hired him) but once the perception gets grounded it is game over. Can’t see him ever getting a HC gig again.
