This is on Strong. You've had a horrible special teams coach all season and did nothing, despite nothing improving. If Burke is coaching next season I will revoke all donations and not watch any games

100 yards in penalties....   we lost this game in the first quarter and with that freaking kick return.   and UCF had like zero penalties called against them. Absolutely ridiculous

Its hard to play against the refs and a good team. That was a great game,  Q had an amazing performance, we had our opportunities but the game wasn't called fairly. That plus little mental breakdowns

If Strong as a head coach is neglecting special teams in practice how is that Burke's culpability.  Maybe it is Strong's we dont know.  Special Teams was a **** show at Texas too.

I have to agree.

I wonder why UCF wasn't trying to block punts last night too.

Special teams were egregiously bad all year. Eventually they fatally bit us.

this is why you need a better schedule thought our flaws tonight were same flaws all year long

Justin Burke has limited special teams experience.  He has been with CCS for a long time and sadly the likelihood that he will be fired is slim.  Burke played QB for CCS at UL, and played various rolls on CCS's staff at UL & UT.  CCS should move him to tight ends coach solely (currently TE & ST assistant coach), and hire a new special teams coach.  This has been a thorn on our side all season.  A change with coaching at special teams is necessary and needs to be addressed sooner rather than later.

In terms of special teams, he fired himself months ago...he just did not tell anyone.
