Salesman Taggart would totally jump from Oregon after one season. Leave them with the band uniforms and instruments he sold and no actual boy's band.

I wonder if UF did this now because of the new early signing period for football.

If so, they would need to name a new HC very soon, or many of their verbals will not sign in December or may decide to sign elsewhere.

So, let's say UF does hire Taggart almost immediately, I'm fairly certain that all four Florida HS players who gave him a verbal to Oregon would follow him to UF.

Of course, those Florida players who already followed him to Oregon won't be too happy, and might want to transfer to USF.

I doubt Oregon would let them be released to UF.

Would be a lot of upset and hurt feelings going to a major program and bolting after a year. Especially those students.

Gasp, a big P5 program being treated like a G5, oh the horror!

Since they are dying for offense, I think they will go that route now.

That was why they picked mcelwain in the first place

Is that true for Charlie leaving USF after one year too?

Probably. At least for his recruits.

Not sure how many fans would be.

Harlan would probably be pissed he had to do another hire and roll the dice.

I don't see CCS as a good fit in Gainesville with those expectations.  Arkansas is the one place where he would be a better fit if that opens.  Our only hope is Charlie's wife wanting to stay close to home (Lakeland), but the Hogs can throw a ton of money his way and the wife might want that more.

Based on what the AD at Florida said at this press conference, is be surprised if Strong was their guy. You never know though.

I do think Taggart is on their radar. Whether he would jump ship after one year? That would be interesting.

Tags is in an interesting situation because of the Chip Kelly factor... as long as that guy is available, he has a huge weight on his shoulders. I think the Oregon fans would take Chip over Willie in a heartbeat, so, with that looming and not having immediate results (likely due to injuries, but, it's college football, logic is not a factor), I could see him saying that the move across country was too hard on his family and he's looking forward to being back in his home state for the long haul.

Oregon Fans won't hold a grudge because they want Chip anyway

UF fans won't care because they are arrogant enough to believe that they are the best job in the world, and, it's somewhat plausible.
