GAME DAY vs Tulane

Riding a string of three straight 30-point or better wins, USF’s second-longest string ever behind four in 2001, and holding the program’s highest ranking since 2008, USF will travel to New Orleans for the Bulls’ first-ever meeting with Tulane. With a win, USF would post the first-ever 7-0 start in program history and extend the nation’s longest active winning streak to 12 games. A victory would also mark head coach Charlie Strong’s 60th on his career.

UNBEATENS: USF is one of eight remaining unbeaten teams in the nation, two of which reside in The American. No. 16/13 USF is joined by No. 20/20 UCF (5-0) and No. 25/- Memphis (5-1) in the AP Top 25. Three teams in the AP Top 25 is tied with the ACC and Pac-12 and trails the SEC (5), Big Ten (4) and Big 12 (4).

RETURN OF THE KING: USF running backs coach Shaun King is one of the all-time greats in Tulane football history.  A four-year starter at QB, he led the Green Wave to a 12-0 record in 1998 and finished 10th in Heisman Trophy voting.  He was the first player in NCAA history to throw for 3,000+ and run for 500+ in the same season.

ON AN AAC ROLL: USF is 16-3 in AAC games over the last three seasons and has won seven straight AAC games overall and nine straight AAC home games, last falling at home to Memphis (24-17) on Oct. 2, 2015.

MOST SUCCESSFUL ERA: USF’s record 11-game win streak is the longest nationally. USF’s 24 wins over 28 games mark the winningest period in program history and among the top four nationally over the period.

30-POINT SCORING STREAK: USF has scored 30 or more points in 23 straight games, the longest active streak in the nation and tied with Oregon (23, 2011-12) for the longest such streak in the AP Poll (1936) era.
