My favorite JK moment of the season is when he didn't go to the USF game and was instead at the UF game tweeting out Gator updates. He then had to tweet at his followers and ask what was going on at the USF game. If you have the twitter handle TBT_TimesBulls, then don't tweet out stuff for another team, actually be at the game you are suppose to be covering.

Oh please...like he had a say in the matter. His BOSS told him to cover the UF game. Your comment should be directed at the supervisors of the Times, not Joey.

It has become all about clicks.

When positive articles are written locally about the team, USF fans want to read it.  When negative articles are written you get our fans AND UCF fans clicking on it.

I agree that all the current TBT reporters when given a choice to highlight the positive or the negative aspect of a story will choose the negative every time.  Martin Fennelly leads the group, after you finish reading any his stories you walk away with a sour taste and wonder if it's really Brett McMurphy using an alias.

It's no secret that the papers have been trimming costs so i won't be surprised if JK's role is expanded to cover other state teams similar to Matt Baker that covers both UF and FSU. He has already been taken off the USF beat to cover UF.....so go figure.

 

This is when I stopped following TB_Times_Bulls...when the account was tweeting about the Gator game during a Bulls game.  Not Joey's fault there, probably, but no way to endear your readership.

Of course, Joey and crew would "objectively" tell me to not let the proverbial door hit me on the way out.  It's all about journalistic integrity, you see.
