Probably the last time UF ever plays a real team for a season opener ... Would be tough for them to suspend  the players for Northern Colorado and play for UM. Probably the last time they schedule an ooc game out of state, too. Bad things happen when they do.

Totally agree.  Shocked they opened up with Michigan.

Just keeps getting better ... Miller is alrady suspended but Robinson is a new name.

Two more Gators receive pot citations

GAINESVILLE — Florida's turbulent offseason continued this week when two players were cited on a complaint of marijuana possession.

Receiver James Robinson and linebacker Ventrell Miller were cited after a University Police officer discovered a baggy of the drug after searching their on-campus housing.

Miller, a three-star recruit from Lakeland, already had been suspended along with six other Gators who reportedly misused university-related funds.

Robinson, a 6-foot-4, 205-pound Lakeland High product, was the nation's No. 115 overall prospect and a four-star recruit, according to 247Sports' composite ratings. He was previously cited in another marijuana incident on Jan. 29, the weekend before signing day, during his official visit to Ohio State.

Florida said that coach Jim McElwain was aware of the situation and that it has been dealt with.

The players become at least the third and fourth Gators cited on complaints of marijuana possession in the past four months. Running back Mark Thompson was cited in April, and receiver Antonio Callaway received a citation in May.

9 players arrested. Some could be facing felony charges for theft.
