Wyatt Sexton in hospital & suspended

Tallahassee, Fla. -- "We have been notified that Wyatt Sexton was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital last night for medical reasons," said FSU Assistant Athletics Director Rob Wilson. "Most of us have known Wyatt since he was born and our concern is for him right now.

"He had been suspended from the football team for a violation of team rules two weeks ago. Coach Bowden is aware of Wyatt's situation and would prefer not to comment at this time other than to express his support of Wyatt, Billy, Joy and the entire Sexton family."

Actually where is The Source because he has been vindicated, and the warp has been proven to be nothing more than a blow-hard, big-time hard-on homer fan for FSU.  But I am sure Wyatt got suspended in MAY for not eating all his veggies at the training table. j/k

I apologize for not getting on here sooner.  I was made aware of the situation just a short time ago.  At this moment, I am unable to get my hands on some more information.  I am awaiting phone calls from a few people within the program when practice completes later this evening.  Expect an update some time later this evening.  Also, I will be making a return trip to Tallahassee on Thursday so if there is anything anyone is dying to know, post it before I go and I'll see what my shovel turns up in the shadows of Doak.

Here is what we have at this hour, lol.  Things around the program are EXTREMELY tight-lipped right now.  I was able to acquire a copy of the police report and there was very little that hasn't already been made public.  Sexton is currently in a Tallahassee-area mental hospital undergoing observation.  UNCONFIRMED reports within the program said that Sexton was on a combination of a couple of hallucenogenic drugs, mainly acid and mushrooms.  I was also informed that while no mention has been made of it yet considering the proximity to the events in question and because of who Wyatt's father is (RB Coach Billy Sexton), dismissal from the team would "not be a surprise."  At the workout tonight, there were no surprises as Xavier Lee took the majority of the snaps under center.  As more information becomes available, I will of course provide it.

That's to bad, unfortunantly I think Xavier Lee will be the better QB, to bad Sexton couldn't have kept him off the field for two more years.

I agree LOB, it could be a blessing in disguise as far as on the field play goes.  FSU has a stable of QB's and will be fine.  Hopefully this kid gets his head straight and gets back in a uniform, or at least gets his diploma.
