MLB Auggie Sanchez was flanked by WLB Nico Sawtelle, with the front featuring ends Greg Reaves and Mike Love, and tackles Bruce Hector and Kevin Bronson. "Mike (Hampton) is coming along quite well," Adams said. "He's done some things in the spring, and then he's continued to do some great things, as is Mazzi. Ronnie (Hoggins) is doing some good things, so I think overall the guys are taking the next progressions...in order to get better." Since enrolling as a Bulls he has done the following: 2016: Appeared in one game, a 48-17 victory over Northern Illinois on Sept. 10. 2015: Appeared in five games on the season playing special teams and linebacker. 2014: A redshirt season, Bayes added 40 pounds to his 6-3 frame in the weight room to practice at 225 in his first season on campus. -source is gousfbulls.com roster info Edited July 31, 2017 by bullsmeanbusiness

If he hasn't done something by now, we can pretty much bet he's not going to pan out to be a whole lot for the team. It's kind of strange to see USF with zero depth at LB

Also, first time I heard Reaves mentioned. First week of training camp I never read too much into things a coach says. Sometimes its a coach sending a message that a guy needs to step the effort up a couple of notches. I don't know how strong handles it, but in the past, during the second week, we would hear how awful a unit is and if the season started today we couldn't field a team. Usually motivational mind games. With Sanchez and Sawtelle, do we have much speed at LB? that used to be a hallmark of USF defense.

That was indeed a surprise. Hoping it's nothing serious, we need him to be at his best.
