Certainly high K per 9 but a BAA of 0.282 and a WHIP of 1.38 is somewhat concerning. Also 15 wild pitches.....will we be singing Wild Thing when he comes onto the diamond :-) ...at any rate, this is a good thing, instant competition (with experience) for the Friday starter.

If this guy is coming in to challenge for Friday night starter, our pitching staff is in deep **** next year. Like you said, the Ks are nice, but a .282 is a whole lot of hits against when you do make contact.

Well, we just may be in deep **** because I don't think they are just going to hand it to Sullivan, I would imagine there has to be some question of who is going to pitch on Fridays

Not to mention he is a LHP, and the only leftie with experience starting. I'll bet, he's a Saturday at worst.

I could have said it better. I’m sure he’s going to compete for the job, but his stats don’t instill a lot of confidence if he wins.

Couldn't agree more.

Have we heard anything yet regarding DJ's recovery? I didn't even see him on the roster this season.

I agree completely with you, but it looks like he probably has some tools. It's up to the coaching staff to maximize his strengths. Again, that's why we hired our head coach, right? Because of the supposedly great job he did with the pitching staff under Kingston.

Supposedly? You don’t agree?

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
