I've said this before.  IMO, baseball recruiting is the hardest of all college sports.  You want to get commits from good players, but just not too good.

It's really going to be interesting to see what happens with all the juniors in this year's class and how many of them return for their senior year. McClanahan, Perez, Genord, Villar are all likely to go, right? But how about Zech, Dietrich, Montes, Chatfield, Dutka, Phillips, Wisely, Cruz? I could see them returning.

Montes  I could see being drafted. The pros will see him as a 2b that can hit. He's got some value there. Outside of that I think Zech could make a case with his speed/power combination but the rest "should" all stay.  Chatfield will need another year after his regression down the stretch. I think hes better when he is in the OF, some People can't handle the free half inning.

I played with Schrepf's coach back in college. I'll have to try and hunt him down and badger him for some insider information.

Hey did you hear anything about this kid? I like the frame coming out of high school and the 434 batting average, seems like he has a little pop too.

im pretty excited about this kid, two season hitting over 400 and three seasons with 30 hits, also 24-4 as a starter.

Pablo Garabitos is the first in the class to be drafted - end of the 25th round, 755 overall to the Brewers

25th is a wildcard. We have a few guys on the team right now who went that high and didn't sign, so we could be in good shape or the kid might be pro or bust.

Interesting development: Good source just told me that USF signee and Brewers draftee Pablo Garabitos probably won't attend USF OR sign with Milwaukee and is likely to go JUCO.
