Another validation that the AAC should be a "Power" conference (Power 6).

2017 NFL draft picks by conference

Conference Picks Picks per school
SEC 53 3.79
ACC 43 3.07
Pac-12 36 3
Big Ten 35 2.5
AAC 15 1.25
Big 12 14 1.4

The drop-off after the top-4 is significant.

Any numbers involving the game of football have always had us in the top 6 (and sometimes even 4 or 5). Its those pesky numbers involving viewership, attendance, and money that have been our problem.

That's not surprising, considering they overwhelminly get the best rated HS players.

You can count on ONE hand ALL the 4-star players signed by the ENTIRE AAC.

Is this serious? And regarding the 2017 class? THAT is surprising...

Yes, I'm serious.

Three 4-star players in the ENTIRE AAC 2017 class, according to 247.

I didn't check the other recruiting services, but I suspect there wouldn't be much difference.

Power 4 instead of Power 6 is likely.

Upon casual observation, it seems that half of Big 10 draftees came from two schools (no desire to dig deeper)

Could be the case in the long term. Each with 16 teams in two divisions.
