I don't think Willie has a say in who the Defensive assistants are going to be...I mean sure he is the head coach and has to give his blessing for any hire but I'm sure Leavitt is picking his own staff

Was looking at the football staff on www.gousfbulls.com and Shawn King and Eric Mathies are the only former assistants with a profile.  King has been retained but I haven't heard anything about Mathies.

Has he been retained by CCS?

I think he's staying. The site has been updated and he's still there.

Neither has Mattox. I think it's back ground checks and on boarding stuff. I expect the rest of the staff to be officially announced soon. It took over a week between Gilbert being announced in the media and until he was officially announced as well, King was quick since he was already emoyed at USF.

So the D coordinator that is coming in has no experience with that.  I realize many think CCS is going to run the D but does it bother anyone other than me that we may have Woody Lite?
