TAMPA — Thursday was a big day for the University of South Florida. It introduced a head football coach, a hiring that will have a profound impact on the school for years to come.

But Thursday was also a really big deal for someone else: USF athletic director Mark Harlan. His future as USF's AD might hinge on that hiring, too.

You see, this was Harlan's first really big hire as an AD.

He helped UCLA hire a football coach (Jim Mora, Jr.) and a basketball coach (Steve Alford). And, yes, he hired a basketball coach at USF. Then again, that was messy and we're still not sure what the Bulls have in Orlando Antigua.

All that was nothing compared to this one.

I understand the issue and the reasoning, but as the site owner I need to ask that everyone post an excerpt and link.

No, we shouldn't.  But, I have turned a blind eye to Toad.  In fact, I don't read his stuff that is posted here.  I know what it is going to be and it is garbage.

If you see that being done for him, we need to delete and only leave a paragraph or so.  Or, actually, just delete the whole thread.

I may be wrong but I believe Trip coined the term Toad for Fennelly  but can be used for TJ as well
