He was supposedly at USF today, flown here by a UT booster, but nothing's come out of it yet but supposedly talks are over for the time being. Not sure if plane is still here or on way back to Texas.

Strongs in Tampa. Met with Harlan most of the afternoon but ended with out signing contract. The jet he flew in on is still in Tampa and does not have a flight plan (7:12pm). It is believed he needs 24-48 hours to think things through per Josh Newberg.

Well that sucks.  I was sure he was signing, all the reports seemed to be expecting him to sign.  Dumb question, why the hell would a Texas booster fly Strong to his possible new job?

Your guess is as good as anyone's. A thought I had is Strong could actually have made friends with some boosters while at UT as all accounts are he is a great guy. Maybe they were doing him a favor? Another theory is Texas is watching things like a hawk to minimize their buyout so they flew out with him to make sure we're not doing anything in bad faith.
