Source: Willie Taggart's deal at Oregon is five years at an average of $3.2 million per year.

How does CWT's deal look? Almost seems within the realm of something USF could have made competitive.

Maybe, if this was just about dollars and cents, but I think with anyone being honest this is about far more than that....

$3.2MM...Isn't that about a 75-90% raise?  He was probably getting a $750K-$1.0M annual raise from USF after he won the bowl game.  The attendance thingie is playing a minor part of this decision.  I hope Leavitt's CO D destroys his OR O.

We just can't compete with that budget. Oregon nearly doubled his salary and extended him to 5 years.  If USF would of offered 2.8 million then Oregon would of increased their offer.

Probably right...just thought it would be more. Can't disagree about the resources he will have.

Heck, he's getting more money than probably our yearly share from the AAC, which goes to the whole athletics program!

He will also have a much larger pool of money for assistants, better facilities and perks, more fans at the games.... USF can't hold a candle to Oregon.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
