I'm more annoyed with their price point.  No problems with your decision or wasn't trying to take a dig at anyone that paid for it.  I'm happy they set that up, and I also like to party with other Bulls fans, I just think it's steep to ask people to pay $40 for food with no alcohol included.  If they took that price point down to $25, I think it's way more reasonable.  I'm traveling with a group of 10, 7 of which are having to fly to the game, so I guess it's also difficult to sway a group that big to pay that much per person.

Go Bulls!

Think of it as $5 for the food, and $35 for the donation. Does that make it sound more appetizing? (pun veddy much intended!)

So, are you coming for the game?  We're making the aggressive drive up from Orlando after the WVU game, so we have no clue where we're crashing the night before (as far as we can drive).  We'll likely stay in Bham after the game, and drive home, so if there's a gathering point after the game, that'd be fun.

Really, really, really, really want to

Still agonizing over the decision, since I'm not sure I want to coax that many miles out of the bus this year. Already drove it from DC to CA once, don't want to push my luck too far...

You know they have these flying machines that can get you there in 4 hours...I hear they are pretty safe & maybe even cheaper.

I convinced myself to take the drive and I'm bringing my son with me.  When or will they release a list of any planned events like a pep rally or anything like that?  Last time I went to the Papa John's Bowl, we showed up in time for the game and went home after.  We're going up a day ahead of the game this time.  Hoping to see some bowl related events.

edit:  After looking more on the Bowl website, I found a list of events.

Hotel booked, Sheraton Downtown for 4 of us. Can't wait! Go Bulls. Any suggestions for tailgating places or ideas?
