A 6 - 6 Vanderbilt?

No thanks, UCF can have that bowl game

You'd rather have 8-5 Ohio or 6-6 Boston College or 6-6 Wake Forest or 7-5 Arkansas State?

The SEC is the SEC...

Birmingham gets the #10 or #11 SEC team... which means 6-6 Vandy or maybe eve 5-7 Mississippi State

Vanderbilt is the *only* SEC team I wouldn't care to play in a bowl game; they have no cachet.

Of the 7-5, or worse, teams in the SEC that are candidates. My ranking to play, in order:

  1. Georgia (7-5)
  2. Arkansas (7-5)
  3. South Carolina (6-6)
  4. Kentucky (7-5)
  5. Mississippi schools (5-7)
  6. Vanderbilt (6-6)

Any of the first 3 would leave me ecstatic and would be a nice feather in our caps.

Beating an SEC school is nice, but I'd take anybody over Vanderbilt. they will always be looked at as trash. I'd rather play Wake Forest or a high ranking G5 team tbh with you

We're going.  Last time to see the Bulls play in person before the looooong offseason.

I gotta see if my boss will give me the time off. I game-planned it better last year because it quickly emerged that we were looking to go to Miami, so I was able to request the time off as soon as we got bowl-eligible in early November.

The currents have been shifting around a lot this year, so I haven't requested the time off yet-and I don't know if I can get it now. It's harder because we're being talked up for both the Military Bowl and the Birmingham bowl.

I should note though-if I can swing it, I will go to either bowl. And I'm less concerned with the opponent, as I have friends who went to Vandy, and my cousin went to Wake Forest. Should we play Wake Forest I have to fulfill a three year old promise to fly my cousin down for the game as it's the first time USF has played Wake Forest in a revenue sport in God knows how long (if ever at all).

One more point-if we have to face Georgia, Nick Chubb is liable to run wild. He's easily on the level of Dalvin Cook. It would be a difficult matchup for us no doubt, but we'd have earned our ranking after the game should we win.
