It would be sad if we just yawned and said "Oh well, we lost, still get a bowl game." That was last season, we should be angry if we aren't getting continually better. Agreed, and I can't quit our team.  And last night, even while losing, I was telling my wife:  I need to take a moment to look back at the Holtz-Early Taggart years, when the joke was "we'll score 17...hope the other guys score less".  I remember watching a USF-UConn game while working in CA a few years ago, and it was a low scoring kicking fest.  At least now we're fun to watch on O, for the most part.  We had a VERY off night, getting around 350 yards...and still scored 30.

I expect us to lose to Navy & Memphis, beat SMU and I'm really not sure about UCF.  I'm hoping our guys will be up for it...and the jury is out on UCF.  Much improved, yes, but still 3-3, and erratic on O.

As to bowl game expectation, correct. We've gone from "dude, will we EVER bowl again" to "A bowl is a given...hope we get a good one!".  Still, please not St. Pete.

I hope fans show up big v Navy, but I don't expect it.  But we need to enjoy the product we have...only a few more games at Ray Jay, and in 2 months, the season ends for us, and we have to wait 9 months to play again.

What do you know, the sun rose over Philly today and I'll bet it's up in Tampa as well.  1/3 of the season remains and it will be fun.  It ain't over yet.  Relax and let's see how it plays out.
