If we are fortunate enough to win the conference, but are not the highest ranked of the G5, what is the best bowl game we can hope to achieve?

The St. Pete Bowl or Birmingham Bowl is the best we can hope for?

Besides the money, this is the issue with the AAC.

Most projections I've seen has us in St Pete.  There was one I saw today that has us in the one in Annapolis playing Wake, I think its the Military Bowl?

Houston is now projected for the Miami Beach Bowl

I would prefer Birmingham as it is against an SEC. Not sure AAC will have a rep at St. Pete.

I saw a couple places that have UF facing off against AAC teams. Stomp them out would be a great way to cap the season.

Wow could you imagine getting another crack at those guys? That would be a game I would not not miss being at.

I agree that would be worth breaking out the squirreled away pennies for. They have been ducking for a while, maybe their luck will run out with the season?

If USF doesn't get a NY6 bid, the best bowls we can hope for are the St Pete vs. ACC, Military vs. ACC, or Birmingham vs. SEC.  The AAC also plays the Big 12 in the Armed Forces bowl, but Navy has a pre-existing contract to play in this bowl.  This is the last year Navy has a pre-existing contract, so next year, Navy will go into the general bowl pool with other  AAC teams.

Bottom line:  It's Cotton or St. Pete for USF

Either Cotton Or St Pete is fine with me.

I wouldn't mind the Cotton. At least there there is some tradition.

Besides playing an extra game, the rest of the tie ins are lame and hardly a reward for a successful season. As far the conference goes, Aresco's priorities need to be higher conference money per team then much better bowls.
