The first big win for the FB program.

From Jim Louke

15 years ago today, @USFFootball went on road and beat Pittsburgh 35-26. Many landmark wins were to come, but to me that was first big one.

Last @USFFootball game before 9-11.  So much changed 3 days later.

Blackwell to Rubin for 2 first quarter touchdowns. Got Bulls out to 14-0 lead. USF led wire to wire. @USFootball

I wish that game was available to watch on YouTube. Those are the classic games I love watching in the off season.

I remember being on the plane to Pitt the day before and just before we got off this old guy said "You don't really expect to win do you?"

I remember seeing gay Mark May crying on ESPN as a halftime host. He was almost in tears.  BTW I can't stand that guy.  He has hated USF forever after that. LOL.

We also beat Auburn 9 years ago today, on Matt Grothe's birthday (go wish him a happy birthday on Facebook or Twitter guys if you haven't already).

A great win against Pitt.  The week before we had lost to NIU 17-20.

Good reminder NEB. As good as the Auburn & WVU games were, that Pitt game still holds my favorite spot. We put ourselves on the national map with that one.

I have it on VHS, sent to me by one of the big Bulls fans of that era.

I planned to go to that game, but backed out instead. Still regret that decision.

Thank you for sharing this. I wasn't a fan until 2007. The shot of Leavitt really a reminder how great a coach he was and all of the big programs he upset as an underdog.
