I just took a quick look at Houston's coaching staff. Other than Major Applewhite, I don't see ywhere their background and experience is much different than our coaches. Todd Orlando was FIU's DC with a couple of years at Utah State.

The rest of them seem to have a lot of experience at Texas State with some guys with bigger program experience  not so different from our guys

For me it is a wait and see.  My guess is that we will continue off from the end of last year.  Go Bulls!

I agree it's a fair concern. Some guys are "meh" about TA, but arguably he's got less talent at IU and it looks like he's given them a 180 from last year. He builds strong cohesive units that are highly motivated to play for him, and that's the part I have the question about with Woodie--we'll see. But he definitely deserves a shot and is a big reason we have the talent we have, so he might even be a better motivator.

Hopefully a lot of these questions will begin to show an answer tonight. This is why I hope Towson brings their A-game and challenges us a little. I just want to see these guys do what we did last year--adapt and overcome.

I'm happy with our coaching staff, until I have a reason not to be.  We've done nothing but improve since CWT has been here.  He's stayed the course with what he believes and it's worked.  That's all I can really ask for.  Looking forward to tomorrow and seeing what this team is capable of.

Not very good, just look at Mike White blowing up after he transferred to WKU.

I wish Mike White all the best, but let's see how he does against even average competition.

Transferring was smart for him. He is in a system better suited for his skill set with a program not needing to build. He fits that system much better than he would have here.

To me the biggest thing is that the players have confidence and believe in the coaches and each other, just like Tom Allen said. Coaching isn't this incredible art form, but being a true leader of young men is. Taggart won these kids over last season and they have all bought in.....I expect BIG things the next 2 seasons, and beyond. We have athleticism (crazy good athleticism0 all over the field and really good depth (with the exception of DE). What we lacked under Skippy was heart. What we lacked under Leavitt was depth. This team now has both.
