It's great to see action to make the area around USF vibrant and growing!

I don't see how a bunch of hi-tech jobs will improve the standards in the area west of campus given that the people that live here lack tech degrees. So obviously these jobs aren't meant for them at all, which means that techies from other areas will be recruited to come in and fill those jobs. Maybe they think that these techies will buy houses or rent an apartment over in the west-side??

I also really don't expect to see techies with hefty salaries that will opt to live over on 131st street next to a crack house with prostitutes on every corner.

Hate to see more tax dollars wasted by failing to address the elephant in the room that nobody wants to address. Don't get me wrong, I love that they are trying to do something, but would prefer that they do something that will actually work vs. just being good in theory.

There seems to be a training aspect to this for people in the area.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
