Perception is that if you're a big time program you play in your own stadium. When UCF is in the Big 12 and we aren't that aluminum frying pan will be one of reasons, but at least we have cup holders and club access

OCS or not the quality of the facility should be considered. I wouldn't want to add teams that have subpar facilities.

Perception to whom?  The media...it's certainly not the individuals making these decisions...do you think the powers that be at the big 12 arent going to take a gander at their stadium?  Who is hosting the national championship?  The state of the art RJS...do you think the big 12 officials notice that?  Absolutely....dont get your panties in a wad...you can only put so much lip stick on that pig of a stadium they play in

Miss that conference... Looks so great now, too bad it couldn't have held together I think it would be ahead of the Big12.

If it held on to Louisville & WVU (maybe Pitt), I think we could have replaced Syracuse and Butgers and immediately been better than the B12.

The problem is that the Big East was a basketball conference that played football.  If we could have invited four schools (UCF, Houston, TCU, and ECU come to mind) before anyone left, we would be a power conference:

North - Pittsburgh, Syracuse, West Virginia, Rutgers, Cincinnati, UConn

South - USF, UCF, TCU, Houston, ECU, Louisville

We may have even been able to entice Kansas and K-State:

North - Pittsburgh, Syracuse, West Virginia, Rutgers, Cincinnati, UConn, Louisville

South - USF, UCF, TCU, Houston, ECU, Kansas, K-State

Your four were the ones I would have hoped to replace the others with, along with Memphis and Navy. But no RU...at least. If I'm gonna dream...
