There are functions/efforts this time of year for unsigned seniors.  It's not as much a "committment"  as a "Yes, I'll play! Thanks!".  Graduated seniors about to have to pay for college or work at Dunkin' Donuts.

If he's half the player his dad was, I'll take it.

His pops was his high school coach and a longtime club coach out here.  He may end up in Oliver's role.   I wouldn't be surprised.

Wonder if COA received some Intel that Bibby was being overlooked, seems like a really good get if he was player of the year in the state. Wonder if this was in response to the potential academic ineligibility of Feliz or if he was in the works since before then. The above hasn't been confirmed yet as far as I know I just recall it being a topic here in an earlier post.

Still not following. As far as my understanding goes, we're outside of the signing period. Is he going to play as a walk-on until they can give him a scholarship?

I think you're confusing with letter of intent.  He's offered a schollie.  He's not committed, in fact he could get an offer from UCF tomorrow, throwup, but still sign with them.

I have coaches calling me asking if I have players that might fit their program.  So those that aren't bound already are still out there and available, like Bibby.

Yep, I be confused. The signing period ended in May. What is the difference in what he would have signed then and what he's going to sign now? Is it that he's enrolling at the same time he signs for the scholarship?

I think I get it now. In realty, though, isn't it really just like he committed, a verbal, non binding pledge? Difference being is that his next step is the actual enrollment, along with signing for the scholarship ....
