I think Cuse game will not be as easy as in years past and will be close either way.

No mention of Marlon Mack, no mention of QF, no mention of the half dozen or so pre-season award watch lists. Nothing substantive.

He said Saturday that having guys on lists in the preseason was nice, but his job is to have them still on the lists at the end of the season.

And I get that. If this game was in Tampa we would probably be favored however, home team always gets the edge. My issue with it is Cuse has a new coach and system and this is a transition year for them. Also Cuse has been our ***** for a reasonably long time in football home or away and I don't see that changing this fall.

The QB we faced last year was the back-up because their starter was injured for the season in game 1. I'm not saying that's the only reason, but if Flowers got hurt and Bench was in the entire season, I think Taggart wouldn't have made it to year 4.

Don't sleep on Cuse.

True, but this year I believe that even if Flowers went down we would be an 8 win team with Kean or Woulard.

They're P5 give me no excuses. Back-up QB didn't account for allowing over 40 points on the board.

He clearly stated his point, "Don't sleep on Cuse".   Don't sleep on Western Kentucky either if we see them again.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
