It would really help if our fans were a little more rationally vocal about demanding better coverage from our local media outlets too. In 2007, the local media was "ga-ga" about covering USF, since it was a good story and the town was basically buzzing. Since then, we've essentially crapped the bed and are left with a dwindling hardcore fanbase that is really defensive about any perceived slight against its university.

USF media support in the Tampa Bay market is non existent.  Not only do they not support USF, I believe some of them go out of their way to put us down.

You would think they would support this move.  Wouldn't they rather cover a USF - Oklahoma game than a USF - Tulane game?

Probably the numbers JK was crunching that he didn't want to stop for to run down JG's flight plan ....

Sorry, I also posted this article in the realignment thread.  Good to see something positive but nevertheless factual from JK.  More stuff like this and he might win me back.

When we were in a BCS conference and had a stable coaching staff people came out to watch.  I'm confident we can get back there (and perhaps even improve) if given a second opportunity in a P5 conference.
