Just committed. Should have another couple in the next couple of days as well. Not rated on 24/7 but he showed enough last night to get an offer and took less then 24 hours to commit.

Good size at 6'3" 294...had a UConn offer among other smaller ones.  Need some big bodies!   Welcome aboard Mr. Stafford!

The coaches got to see him up close and work with him quite a bit yesterday and saw enough to give him a commitable offer. I'll trust the coaches on this regardless of his current offer sheet or star ranking.

Elephant in the room. Are these the type of guys we should expect with this years recruiting class? Not much going on in the offers department.

It's not the offers in July that matter it's the offers in February. CWT has consistently shown that he gets in early on kids that blow up later on. The staff worked with this kid all day yesterday and saw enough to give him a commitable offer. Considering this is going to be a very small class they have to be choosy with their offers so giving him one means the kid can play

Latrell Williams is a perfect example of this. Once he committed to us Miami, Tennessee, and basically every other major school started offering him, but previous to that he had almost no offers.

The recruiting site people only get to look at a handful of kids. They see the ones at the big high schools and the ones that attend the big time camps. Many great players are at smaller schools and don't go to all the camps. I'm more comfortable snagging kids we've seen play in person than those we just have highlight tape of.
