Had himself a game

Quote

In short, Rudd showed his offensive arsenal against the Thunder on Friday, cutting for a dunk early on and converting shots from the perimeter for most of the contest. The University of South Florida product also ran the floor well and competed hard on the defensive end.

With Miami down in the fourth, Rudd did all he could to try and narrow the gap. In fact, the forward scored eight points in the final period. In addition to his game-high 22 points on 8-of-14 shooting, Rudd also led the team with 12 boards and four assists.

He's there to save the Heat from the DWade departure. :FIREdevil:

They do need somebody to plug in for all the iso stuff and have the ball in their hands. Rudd is that type of player. Would be cool to see him get a shot, but I have no idea if he realistically has a chance. Maybe if Bosh retires and if they didn't just sign Derrick Williams.

I wish Rudd all the best of luck in making a team. The kid has a ton of talent, my knock on him while he was at USF was that he seemed to mentally "check-out" of games too often.

He was an exciting player at USF. Those Collins to Rudd alley-oops were legendary.

Agree all. He had/has a ton of natural ability, it was always the mental stuff that seemed to be his challenge. If he's got that in check, he could make a roster easy IMO.

I thought his shooting (non-dunking) was spotty in the college ranks. But guys that can't make FTs can make it in the NBA so there's hope.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
