Looking at the percentage rank vs computer rank just shows you how whacky that season was. What a time to be a bull. So heart wrenching to see them stumble down the stretch.

One of the craziest and best college football seasons of all time. 2007 was also the year of the Appalachian State epic upset over Michigan.

Pretty sure it happened the day we beat Auburn.

One-hit-wonder seasons are both a blessing and a curse, but in this case mostly a blessing because that season--more than any other--made us a national name.

App state beat Michigan when we had a home game that year. We were driving to the game and our son brought it up on the phone. We have gone to Boome every year for our sons that snowboard and have always pulled for App State

Indeed. Every time someone wants to bring up the 'good ole days', this gets trotted out. Very much a Haley's Comet sort of season. Unfortunately, consistency pays larger dividends than the one-hit-wonder, and we - unfortunately - never made the sort of headway we should have if we wanted to be a national name of some measure. In looking at those in the neighborhood, Ohio State went on to pick up the silver medal Nat'l Championship, BC went 12-2 losing the ACC championship but winning the Russel Athletic, and LSU won the Nat'l Championship..Kentucky went 8-5 and beat FSU in the Music City Bowl, and we ultimately were cooling our jets in El Paso chit-chatting with those nice young men from Oregon at the airport.

When you build, it helps to have money. Have you invested in the Bulls Club yet?
