The University of South Florida Board of Trustees will vote next week on a contract that increases pay for USF President Judy Genshaft.

Under the new one-year contract, which would be effective July 1, 2016, Genshaft could receive a base salary and discretionary performance bonus totaling as much as $768,500. She’s due to receive $645,000 in salary and bonus under the existing contract, which ends on June 30.

Curious as to why it's only for one year, rather than a multi-year contract.

She's arbitration eligible. They're working out a multi-year contract with a full no-trade clause.
