"Preeminent" means more money to USF from the state legislature. We seriously need a contingent of USF-related or USF-friendly legislators in Tallahassee; otherwise, the Seminoles and Gators will continue having their stranglehold on funds in the state capital.

It will take a while, and it might suit us well to find Republicans who have graduated from USF. A USF Alumni PAC could be a good step forward here, so long as it isn't affiliated with the university or the USF Alumni Association in any way. We've got a lot of alumni. Surely they'd be willing to donate to get USF some greater legislative strength. Plus it will prevent us from having situations like the Florida Poly split off as pro-USF legislators will cut that off before it even gets going.
