But why are we so committed to playing a 2-3?  Lack of talent?  Imagination?  Defensive thinking?

For me, it's the easiest defense to score on.

Because we don't have enough depth and we need McMurray to play 35 minutes a game, and he can't do that when chasing around their point guard the entire game

We can't rotate players. We have to play conservative defense because unlike most other teams we have a 6-7 man rotation.

Yeah, I think right after Peters got injured but I'm not sure.

Yes, but we started to try and play some man, and actually they also tried playing a 1-3-1 for 2 games before Peters got hurt

Injuries have plagued this season. I hope Bo Ziegler is ok. With him down, we'll have 6 schollie players to rotate--not good.

Per Sergio at pre-game talk, Skippy has 4 more games for his suspension (I think that included yesterday). Sounded like there would be some sort of re-evaluation at that point.

We were playing M to M most of the time before Peters injury.  According to COA in one of the pre game talks he said they switched to the zone to keep Jamal out of foul trouble. He said that Jamal is a gym rat and they have to force him to tone down his workouts/practices trying to save him for the games.  We actually were playing the zone pretty well for a while.  The last 2 games - not so much.  Don't know if the kids are just whipped physically?  mentally? combination?  

I just hate to see this over reaction about the coach and the team.  The players have hung in there and I really expected most games to look like the last two.  They may just be toast now.
