I think the NAvy game cant all be put on the defense as our offense was ineffective due to Quinton Flowers and Marlon Macks injuries. I think that game could have easily been a 40-20 win with healthy

Clearly worked with flying colors against the spread offenses of the American, like Tom Allen wanted. We have he playmakers to make it happen and it's the system the guys all bought into. Think it's great for the personnel and looking forward to seeing what CRW can do with it. Curious if Jancek has any experience with it though.

I think Tramal Ivy at Bull position is going to be scary.  Think D.Hill at 2x speed.

I hope we do prepare a 4-3 defense if we play navy again though.

I think this makes since with our speed. I'd like to have the option to switch to 4-3 in clear running situations but 4-2-5 makes since with the recruits we have access to and the talent we've been able to get at DB.

Agree. At least stack the box and try forcing them to throw.

BTW - the Husky will be called Stinger in the new 4-2-5.

This is great news! I think we will definitely see defensive improvement just from scheme continuity and our defense staying mostly intact personnel wise.

  I think the Husky/Stinger position is a hybrid Safety/Linebacker position. I don't see why another Linebacker couldn't fill in there to help with the run

You could put it a smaller/faster LB in run situations.  But I guess if he's an LB, then it's really a 4-3 and not a 4-2-5

Against Navy I would really like to see us go to a single high true safety and then go to a 4-3 front and still keep the husky/striker in as well.
