Jose has been forced to go to the bench early.  With Ferrereia and Jenkins out we really need the remaining players to pitch in, big time.

Williams being in foul trouble kept things close, but we should pull away in the second half. 

One of the announcers made a really good point. She said that UCONN is so much better than the rest of the conference that we end up getting everyone's best shot, because beating us is actually realistic. I really hadn't thought about it that way before, but it makes sense.

Ferreira has a torn plantar fascia ligament.  Will require surgery after the year.  How much she plays until then is anyone's guess.  The kid is tough and been playing through it. Guessing CJF thought they could beat SMU without her.   Was at men's game so will watch the women's team sometime this evening or tomorrow.  They were announcing scores during the men's game and it sounded closer than I thought it might be.  L2 not playing explains some of that.

Heard that too; and makes a lot of sense. They were saying when healthy this is possibly CJF's best team top to bottom. It's great seeing other contributors and getting them early reps.

I think her absence made it a lot harder for Williams and Laksa to get open looks. The injury as helps to explain why she hasn't looked as good this year at times.
