Keeps it personal. But the oeo system is the beginning of the evolution of publix. Customers love the service but the most valuable thing for customers is their time. If the quick check outs (10 item or less lines) are actually backed up and/or moving to slow simply go directly to the customer service counter, pay and go about your day. I have never had to wait a significant period of time to pay for a sub, especially none longer than the convenience of picking up my already made sub. You don't fully appreciate Publix until you leave the state and have to go grocery shopping.
