There are still some presses in action. You just have to be in the know. Also, I love me some Publix subs, but I'd never get a Cuban there if I lived in Tampa. That's like going to Waffle House for a steak.

This.  As much as I like Pub subs, I would get my Cuban elsewhere.

West Tampa Sandwich Shop. I give them the nod over Aguilla's based on their being open on Sundays. I prefer the Aguilla media noche, but since I don't work in the vicinity, I usually pick up on the weekend. I do work near a Pipo's, so I make due with one from there and a deviled crab from time to time.

If anybody is around the odessa area Keystone corner has a press and makes good Cubans.  It's on Tarpon Springs Rd heading to Tarpon Springs.

That's a 20 min or so drive from Westchase area Bry.

Publix subs are my go-to, unless I'm down in Broward County, which has the best local sub shop in existence: La Spadas
