Ouch, this recruiting season has been brutal...we are getting out butts kicked.

At this point, unless we get some big time surprises, I think we have to take 6 or seven scholies and just save them for next year/transfers and call this year a loss.

The worst part is the class was looking really promising. Is the leaving of Dugans and Allen the reason for the late crapfest?

I would assume that and Willie interviewing for the SC gig. If we take another step forward this year CWT is gone too.

He was a little too big anyway. I am sure we can find a little smaller and less aggressive OL.

It's getting ridiculous, the P5 bagmen must be out in full force.

I thought Taggart would be able to recruit 100% better with a winning season at his back. Instead the P5 is apparently using our recruit list as a raid list. What changed in two years? In 2014 Taggart was closing these kids (Mack, Johnson, Flowers, Nichols), in 2016 they're flipping to crappy P5s (with the exception of Miami) and decent G5s (Temple).

This was always going to be a tough year. The G5 thing is always going to be there the fact that we only have 18 or so scholarships available this year meant we had to get on late to a lot of guys which limited their relationship with the staff (a strong point for CWT in recruiting is his relationships). But with us being G5 there will continue to be kids looking for the "better offer" and using USA as a stepping stone to that offer; it socks but it is the life on the outside looking in.

In 2014, Telly Lockette recruited the Miami area and was responsible for bringing in Flowers, Nichols, etc. Dugans leaving also hurt. In my opinion, it is more so that our Assistant Coaches (except Woodie and Reaves) are not strong enough in recruiting.
