Get good players in. Put them in position to make plays. Play them early and often.

Does that mean UCF will pull in a top class?

Maybe.. They have a new coach and a lot of playing time to offer.. problem is that most of that staff (I believe, I'm not terribly in the know about their coaching staff) has not recruited this area much before and it is kind of late in the game for them. They already stole a RB from us mostly due to playing time and I wouldn't be surprised if they have a top 5 recruiting class in the AAC, much like Taggart was able to do in his first year. But once again I know nothing about recruiting outside of generalized knowledge of past recruiting classes and how teams recruit in proceeding years after coaching changes..

When did we become a "mid-major" and what does that mean exactly?

When we got left behind and joined the AAC.

Technically, we stayed right where we've always been since 2005. It's the catholic, basketball playing schools that left and took the Big East name with them and formed their own "new" conference with an "old" name.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
