Honestly guys, this isn't all bad. Imagine if their request was rejected and Houston, and Cincy got snagged. Memphis without Fuente/Lynch, Navy had a senior heavy team... Imagine being in a conference where the only game to look forward to each year was UCF. As it stands, I love playing Cincy, and would consider them our biggest rival outside UCF

I think that's what the B12 wanted.  They didn't want any rules to decide who would be the champion.

Now they can select whom they think should pay in the event of a tie, whether that team actually deserved it or not (i.e. brand recognition).

This. All of this deregulation just opened the door for conferences to make up the rules as they go and change them annually based off the key words that the committee uses. The conference isn't even sure how #1 and #2 will be seeded, they just want to make sure that "#2" doesn't have a chance to unseat the "#1" from the playoff.

Honestly I'm not upset that expansion isn't being forced at this time; the AAC has proved it can play with the big boys and now can excel moving forward. I just hate how the rules keep changing in the CFB landscape every year. That and a round-robin conference getting a guaranteed rematch championship game. how ridiculous would it be if the same matchup for the championship was the final game of the regular season? Would we really see two teams play each other twice I two weeks?

Gives us enough time to help obliterate the little kids' table. I think once TV contracts are up for negotiations again, things will heat back up. Big12's is up in 2020?

Gotta send out Christmas cards to the P5 programs, too .... some of the other AAC wannabes have set the bar pretty high.

Do you know if there was a Capital One mascot challenge this season?  I never saw anything about it.  Don't know why I just thought of this...

B12 will have a huge challenge to exist in 2 years. See the OU Presidents comments yesterday. When OU and Texas see the checks the big 4 are sahing, they are gone as will be the B12 IMO.

By Bolsby's prediction, a Champ game garners 20M ( good luck with that) or 2M each team. That is peanuts. The B12 is a s good as gone when the $ race reveals them as  a loser.

Thus, we will continue our upward trajectory of being in the best conference not in the power 5.

It went away after the Capitol One Citrus Bowl became the BWW Citrus Bowl
